LSW, Inc. has been serving
the land surveying community for more than
20 years. It was founded by John Keen, PLS,
in 1985 to market his surveying books and
seminars. The company expanded to offer
other important surveying titles as well as
videos from Reynold Davenport and software
training from Larry Phipps. In 2003, Phipps
purchased LSW from Keen. John Keen, Jack
Keen and Reynold Davenport continue to
instruct LSW's popular exam review courses
throughout the country. New instructors have
also joined the adjunct LSW teaching staff
to provide training on cutting edge
technology for land surveyors. Since 2003,
Phipps has expanded the company's catalog to
include the CG and Carlson software,
hardware and training. Phipps also
introduced the Continuing Education Cruise
for Land Surveyors in 2005. The tremendously
successful event has become an annual affair
attracting surveyors from around the country
to this unique continuing education
experience.
